Staňa: Mám tu teď menší turbulence způsobené změnou zaměstnavatelů a bydlišť. Jakmile se to trošku ustálí, bude vaginální výprava pokračovat.

Quest for Ovum se v červenci nekoná? Uniklo mi něco? Že by prázdninová pauza? Nebo to je ženský přechod? Co se sakra děje?? Kdo jí tohle kuře? Jsem já furt já?

do I ever bother your dreams? no, I think I don’t

take a look at me and

explain why on earth
you can’t comb your hair
anywhere else
but in my dreams
(randomly… in your bathroom, perhaps)

hey, stop making faces
you don’t know
what it’s like
to wake up without you

wet eyes, dry throat
I used to love you
so… take a look at me and
don’t look that way

don’t you have anything better to do at night?
I know you do and you’re not alone in that but I don’t wanna know anything explicit (nor implicit) for heaven’s sake

so I’m sitting in a waiting room
extremely unexpectedly
waiting and expecting
the amputation of dreams
(medicine can work miracles nowadays)

to a nurse insured by a bra I give my health insurance card (it’s pink)
and I pretend I have no blue
please, nurse, if you can, I’d like to have my memories
cut out too (and could you please implant a better hairstyle on me? no, you couldn’t, I see…)

when I dream of you
my morning is pain, my whole day is pain
do I ever bother your dreams?
I hope I do but I think I don’t

I hope
I do
but I think
I don’t

Rilke's Grave Movement
If it was HIM, I am sure it would be some ironic, bitter, malevolent, grinning old man in his nineties desperately trying to hit your balls with a cane. But hey, no argument here :-).

Rilke's Grave Movement: I understand and agree with that translation thing. The translation was not my suggestion. It was just a homework at some university and Miss Veronika chose my poems and I was flattered. Then I put it here for those two Englishmen who can accidentally come here every decade.
I love language just the way it is. Its weaknesses make it funny :)

I read the czech version. I was talking in generall; that it isn't very good idea to have your poems translated; it isn't very good idea to translate poems one way or another. - Going from particular to generall. Language is such a rubbish tool. Nevermind. :-).

Rilke's Grave Movement: Well, there is a difference. But only in its form. Original version rhymes inconspicuously. It sounds maybe less... heavy? then. But not such a big difference. You can read czech version, suffer again and then accuse the translator or the author. Or spit on the floor and let it be :) Thanks for your opinion anyway. Keep moving, Rilke.

I am not sorry, this english version is simply rubbish. Doesn't work on any level. Maybe all the translations are that bad, I can't really say, but no, just no... (For clarification: The translation may as well be good but it will still read like a rubbish.)
